The District Attorney Roger F.Sawyer, who’s investigating politicians suspected of corruption and linked to the mysterious ‘Golf Club’, manages to get a list of names from Nikos Tavoularis – not enough however to continue with the enquiries. Sawyer is interested in Paul Verheiden, a rememberer who is being hunted by some killers. Verheiden however, not trusting Sawyer, relies on Nathan Never’s protection and asks to be handed over to the District Attorney Sara McBain, Nathan’s ex-lover, who is on a mission to Melpomene…

Nathan, Andy Havilland, Al Goodman and men from the District Attorney’s office, led by the beautiful Ute Hermann, take Verheiden to the abandoned Mountchrist prison. During the mission to protect Verheiden however, Andy loses his nerve and mistreats the rememberer. In the meantime, the ruthless Mejek prepares to attack the prison, using special camouflage suits stolen from the army which enable anyone who wears them to become all but invisible…
