Nathan Never goes to the seaside to see Randy Nash, an old friend of his when he was in the Space Academy and the first fiancé of Laura Lorring (who later becomes Nathan’s wife). Randy, a surf fanatic, has lost the use of his legs following an accident on the space base. But now ‘Water Mountains’ are about to arrive, huge waves which form twice every century.
