Professor Alex Arnold’s wife, Cora, asks Nathan Never to investigate her husband’s mysterious death. Years before, Arnold had been the scientist in charge of a mission on an asteroid. During this mission he had tracked down, and opened a package which was probably of alien origin. With the help of the shuttle pilot, Jerry Lone, Nathan starts to trace Herbert Benson, the last to have met Arnold. But Aristotle Skotos and the Shadow Brotherhood are also interested in the professor’s fate…

Making use of Nathan Never’s flyer, King discovers the whereabouts of Green Paradise Valley and intends to drill for oil, forcing the inhabitants to work for him. When the people living in Green Paradise oppose him, King reacts by threatening them with the bikers, a group of motorcyclists he has recruited. Nathan intervenes to defend the people who have helped him, and finds himself face to face with Dragon, the bikers’ leader, in a deadly, neck-breaking chase…
