What greater pleasure can there be than to relish a fabulous horror movie, sitting comfortably in a darkened cinema, savoring the pleasure of knowing that it hardly requires any effort at all to free yourself from the nightmares that are taking shape on the screen? I mean, really, all you have to do is quit the auditorium… Or, at least, that’s the way things would be if the movie in question weren’t the last work by John Munro, a film director so faithful to his style as to commit suicide with a chain saw. As his last gift to a tearful audience, among whom Dylan Dog also figures, Munro has however left a mysterious bequest: the definitive chapter of his truculent saga, “Bloody Evil VIII”. You can talk yourself silly about this film, but you sure can’t say it’s like any other…
