For the fiftieth anniversary of the discovery of America, Martin Mystère is involved in an event which confirms that things actually happened quite differently from the “official” account. Through Angie, Martin meets a self-styled descendant of Christopher Columbus, who claims to have inherited a diary from him containing the assertion that the 1492 voyage towards the New World was by no means the first. But while Mystère searches for the truth, a fanatical murderer is doing everything possible to keep it hidden.
