After slaughtering Padre Matías and plundering the mission’s treasure destined to the San Domingo campesinos, the brothers José and Paco Cardenas had invested their ill-gotten gains in profitable activities at El Paso… but now Tex and Carson come to settle the accounts with the two murderers. Paco, now the owner of a saloon, is given to believe that the murdered priest is still alive: By watching Paco’s reaction to this news, our heroes obtain clear evidence of his guilt, and so they apprehend him, despite the protection of his minders.
