Someone or something is killing the trappers who visit the village of Red Lake to sell or barter their pelts. All the victims were pierced by a strange arrow and died with terrified looks on their faces. Someone talks about a mysterious creature that surfaced from the lake; others blame the Natives. Anyway, the events appear to originate from a bloody old story, after which the lake and the village on its shore got their names. Zagor, Cico, and the trapper, Pablo Rochas, will try to shed light on the mystery, stopping the murders and avoiding a possible clash with the Natives. And they will find something terrible and deadly surfacing from the lake, connected to a past of death and blood tinging the lake’s waters red…
