Trampy now makes both ends meet by singing serenades to ugly, wealthy women. Chico copies him but with poor results: he is mistaken for one of his old enemies, the minstrel, Guitar Jim, and beaten up. Thus Zagor decides to hunt for Guitar Jim: he and Chico pretend to be rich gold-diggers. But they are captured by a band of throat cutters…
