Cico is kidnapped in the forest and taken far away from Darkwood. Following the kidnappers’ tracks, Zagor arrives to the Great Prairies, where the Dakotas rule. The great Native tribe is divided in clans and groups, who are often at odds with each other. Among the Natives, somebody seems not only to keep captive and hide the Mexican friend of the Spirit-with-the-Hatchet, but also to know the truth about a white woman who disappeared a while before, her fate unbeknowst to everybody. While Zagor is investigating in this hostile environment, repeatedly risking his life, in Darkwood someone plotting a terrible plan!...
