Usually, testament executors have an easier life than Mister Bluff when he finds himself involved in entrusted with such a sad task. The last will of the dying Willy Stark is, indeed, that the old beard of Mister Bluff should be the executor of his last will and testament, consisting in consigning the map of a treasure to his daughter. And that’s when the surprises start, because the girl has been kidnapped by the Shoshones and, in order to find her, there’s nothing else that can be done, in the absence of a scalp, than to risk that flowing beard. The second surprise is that the hiding-place indicated by the map contains nothing more than John the Heavy’s belt, and the last surprise... well, the last is of the kind you would never be able to guess in advance!
