Before being killed by his own accomplices, the evil tavern keeper Morisse had been convinced by Tex to change sides: thanks to his information, the pards, believed dead among the flames in the tavern, hunt down the hired assassin Caudill as far as Jenkins’ den, hanger-on of the minister Fairbanks and coordinator of the sabotage act against the railroad!
