Tex – made curious by the suspicions of Alwin Webb, director of the Cedar City museum – investigates in the Raven Flat mining center to discover if the gold metal is what motivates whoever is massacring the Mormons of the area, but it isn’t gold that he finds, instead it’s lead! When Almon Kirtland, a madman with the manias of a prophet, emerges, the veil of mystery begins to lift and the masks of the guilty ones fall! A while later, in the region of the Little Colorado, a railway company decides to make the tracks cross the lands of the farmers, using criminal methods to convince them to leave their homes!
