The marauding sorties by the Apaches, under their leader Nana – the deceased Victorio’s witch-doctor – rekindle hatred towards the Indians. Tex and Carson consult with Cochise, and then decide to stop them! But Nana has fallen into the clutches of two villainous adventurers, Steve Cratte and Ben Haring: after having in vain tried to bamboozle him with gifts and whiskey, this pair proceed to torture him with fire and inject him with narcotics, until Nana, howling with pain and delirious, reveals where the sachem’s booty is hidden. When the pards find him, Nana has already breathed his last… But the two ugly mugs have no hope of escape: Cratte, stricken by the shaman’s curse, is the first to give up the ghost!
