Having destroyed the rebels outpost in Medina and freed the abducted and enslaved soldiers, the pards and Cochises Apaches surround the Tuareg led by Prince Ahmed. Realizing the failure of his ambitious plan, the African nobleman surrender with the honours of war and retires indefinitely, followed by his few surviving warriors. Some time later in Wilcox, Tex and Carson nail a gang of criminals for a train robbery where they stole a chest full of gold, property of the army. To detect the location of this carefully-hidden loot, the pards arrange the escape from Yuma of a surviving member of the gang, a man called Carver.
