After the failure of the army-sponsored project for the creation of a camel-borne unit to patrol the Southwestern deserts, the Tuareg warriors who were involved – left to their own fate – strive to create a Muslim state inside American land, under the leadership of Prince Ahmed. His right-hand man, Yussuf, is forced to flee to Mexico, after losing several men in a clash against Tex and the Apaches. The African nobleman’s followers have set up their tents in Mexican territory, while waiting for the construction of a mosque by a group of American soldiers who have been abducted and enslaved. The building will be the core of the future city of Medina! Despite Yussuf’s efforts to persuade him to abandon his plan, Prince Ahmed is determined to carry it out... While the Tuareg leave for a punitive expedition, the rangers and the Apaches – led by Cochise’s grandson, Mateo – arrive in Medina.
