Tex tells about other events from his past, and this time it is his Civil War memories. Tex and “Damned” Dick enlisted as civil scouts in the 3rd Hunters division of the unionist army: the two unrestrained pards became experts in acts of sabotage and guerilla warfare, with the purpose of cutting off supplies of men and arms to the Confederates. Thanks to them, a boat filled with ammunition blew up while a railway convoy filled with troops in gray uniforms was caused to derail with dynamite.
