Tex and Carson escape from the underground trap in which “Big Ben” Berries, supported by the gloomy butler, Long Jim, has thrown them, and they help the widow Everett drive back the farm plunderers. With all of his accomplices put out of action, the fat banker tries to run away with his fellow citizens’ money but the wagon on which he is traveling overturns, crushing him! Later on, Tex investigates the evil doings of the band of El Caimàn, the stage name of the ugly mug, Steve Randall: financed by the wealthy Mexican ranchero, Don Romero, the bandits attack and expropriate the ranches south of the border with Arizona...
