Legs, Nathan, Al and Andy are entrusted with protecting Joseph Houseman, who is running for the mayoral office against the incumbent mayor Hoenzoller. Following a vicious attempt to injure Houseman, an illegal memobox is discovered in his skull, implanted there sixty years before when he was a cadet in the Space Infantry. Through the journalist Emma Key, Nathan gets hold of the code to a memobox belonging to the dead rememberer Price. It is the same code as Houseman’s memobox…
