Every ninety years, the Damned Court, made up of monstrous beings that come from the Faerie kingdom, tries to invade the earth; the previous invasion attempts have always been foiled by the dissemination of an image of a benevolent elf called Billiken. In our times, this threat is imminent once more and the Detective of the Impossibile is summoned to resolve the problem of how to disseminate again – and within a very short space of time - the image of Billiken on a planet-wide scale.
