A girl with no memory finds shelter at Martin Mystère’s house. The stranger speaks an ancient language and seems to possess the memories of the legendary Queen of Sheba, the bride of King Solomon and keeper of the powers of Shams, the Sun Goddess. Martin and Java take her to Yemen, the ancient kingdom of the Sabeis, in an attempt to throw light on the matter, but their moves are closely tracked by the men paid by Vlad Balcer , a ruthless wheeler-dealer who wants to gain possession of an archaeological relic that has immense powers.
