The shadow of deception descends onto Fort Ontario and the threat to the load of weapons destined for the patriots is increasingly impending. Distrust is obligatory, since the enemy disguises himself as a lamb; it is a rather indigestible lamb, though, even for the unshakeable Ontario Wolves! Anybody who proves to be a fierce enemy of the English is welcome among Mark’s men, even though the patriot Flok is a flea-ridden and skeleton-like representative of the canine race. He and Mister Bluff become great friends and it is Flok who calls for help at Fort Ontario when the old beard falls into the clutches of the Redcoats. But it’s too late...
