The inhabitants of New Salem worship a demon named Hoggoth and they sacrifice the unfortunate wayfarers that arrive in town to him. Now it is Walter Maddenbrook’s turn and perhaps not even Zagor can save him. The leader of New Salem, Stephan, possesses a prodigious strength, a strength that comes to him from Hoggoth himself!
