Without heeding the negative advice of the local Maori, and notwithstanding the strange disappearance of some trekkers, a TV crew enters the forests of New Zealand to film an adventure-themed “reality show”. Unforeseen events will change their adventure in an horror film: in the lonely wildness of the Catlins somebody found the ancient flute of the Patu-paiarehe, and the diabolical shepherd evoked his flock, the fearful man-eating Mohoao! Only Harlan and Kurjak, with the help of a “rangatira”, an old Maori chief, can hope to stop this ancestral threat...
