During a flight in a ramshackle hot air balloon, hunting for arachnoids, Brendon gets struck by a fierce winged reptile and crashes into a remote community: Lostville. The township and its inhabitants seem to be very hospitable, but a strange feeling of uneasiness and apprehension assails the knight errant, from as early as the very first night he spends in this place miles and miles away from anywhere… an apprehension that completely invades Brendon when he discovers that try as they might, none of the people there can succeed in leaving Lostville. It’s the soul of the city itself that stops them, transforming the inhabitants into prisoners forever…
