Having eliminated Brendall and Gila Kid, the pards set fire to the Devil’s Hole, El Corto’s tavern! Then Tex and Carson, supported by Cochise, hire a pair of honest guides and the Butterfield company’s caravan – in the sights of the unfair competing company, Ned Turpin’s Overland – sets out for Tucson again! But a very different rottenness hides behind the commercial trade war: that of the arms and whiskey traffic with the rebel Indians! And thus the rangers head directly for the wolf’s den, to Lordsburg, the Overland company’s main seat.
