While Santa Rita becomes depopulated, the pards shoot Johnson and the other slaughterers! A while later, in Wyoming, Tex escorts a mission in Sioux territory to recover the remains of Captain Larrimer, killed by the Indians a year earlier, with other soldiers. Sergeant Rampling, having escaped the slaughter, has only now regained his memory and is the only one who knows where the officer fell. Thanks to his prestige and to his courage, Aquila della Notte obtains the blessing of the Sioux. But something inauspicious impends: strange accidents. And the shadow of an evil spirit!
