Mark Winter, boss of the criminal cartel of Tucson, is fed up with hearing that the contract killers he hired have bitten the dust as a result of an indigestion of lead or have been given a real thrashing by Tex and Carson! But there’s not much he can do about it: there are grim times ahead for him. The rangers’ war on his organization has now come to a head! After softening up numerous bald pates in town, the pards move out into more open ground, and with the aid of Chochise’s Chiricahuas they get rid of the gun-runners who were acting under orders from Winter, and they instigate the traffickers’ own former accomplices, the Apaches, to rise up against Winter.
