Tex and Carson set one of Cedar City’s warehouses on fire where the shady Goldfield fleeced the emigrants even before the departure of the caravans, only to then leave them in the hands of the Cheyennes of Kento, his accomplices. So, while Tex and Carson escort the Quakers’ carriages, Tiger Jack and Kit ward off the attack by the Indians on a second convoy, the one guided by Adams and Clayton, Goldfield’s thugs. The shooting over, Adams goes off in order to explain to the Indians what happened, but Kento, believing him to be a liar, has him captured.
