For the bloodthirsty Danites, a deviated branch of the Mormon sect, religion is a pretext: their adversaries are slain and chased away just so that the Danites can grab their lands. They must be stopped! With the help of the wise Mormon bishop of Tidwell, Tex and the pards manage to definitively lower the curtain on the Danites and on their leader, Tim Butler. Meanwhile, along the Colorado, the Paiutes plunder the farms bordering the reservation. Who has armed them? And why do the Indians rage above all against the ranch of Jim Elmer, a poor invalid?
