Zagor discovers the identity of the mysterious Owl, who’s behind the desertions: it’s his old enemy, “One-Eyed” Jack! He tries to escape but is caught soon, although controversies in the band allow the Spirit-with-the-Hatchet to square accounts with his bitterest enemy! Passing through Cleveland, Zagor and Cico are mysteriously attacked in their room, and then, the next day, a gang of criminals kidnaps the two friends with the intention of killing them…
