In a mansion nearby Darkwood, the ruthless ex-con, Luther Keenness, kills Connie Mc Murray’s father after forcing him to open his strongbox. He kills the man because he had been his partner in several robberies and a traitor who got off scot-free while Luther ended up in jail. Connie manages to leave the house, stealing the killer’s horse. After reforming his gang, Luther hunts down the young woman, sure she has recognized him. Zagor meets Connie, who tells him what happened: she’s followed by Luther and his men, who consider her a dangerous witness. To catch her, Luther relies on support from a band of Native American warriors. Hunted by them and the bandits, Zagor and Connie receive help from Tonka and Cico.
