In Silver Bell, Tex and the pards teach a harsh lesson in good manners to a brash young man, Freddy Baker, who then seeks revenge on Tex. His father, a wealthy rancher, also refuses to accept anyone stepping on his family's toes in the Silver Bell territory. As a result, he sends a group of hired gunmen to settle the score with the four pards. Tex ends up dueling Ruby Scott, a cowardly half-breed who uses a rigged holster!
