Not everything is rotten in Federation. For while the intrepid sheriff is quite prepared to declare the ruffians who killed Nantay not guilty by reason of self-defense, some citizens are not shy of siding with justice and honor, delivering a list to Tex containing six names. The hunt for the murderers of the former scout is on! Some of the townsfolk rebel against the situation, others flee, some beg for mercy while yet others brandish their colts… But Tex and Carson are implacable, and the shadow of destiny hovers over all those who are tainted with guilt!
