The fourth and last volume of the series is dedicated to the celebration of the 50th birthday of a character that – in 1950s-70s – was all the rage on the pages of “Albi dell’Intrepido” and “Il Monello”: Sheriff Pedrito El Drito. In this adventure, featuring Alfredo Castelli as the script and Antonio Terenghi as the artist, Pedrito comes back to protect the street of his town, Tapioka City. He’s joined by his very jealous fiancée Paquita and the fearful Indian tribe of the Pistilli Forellati (“Pierced Pistils”). It’s a homage to a character and an author, Terenghi, that pleasantly accompanied the reading of the children of a few generations ago. The album ends, with the notable exception of the Specials about Cico and Leo Pulp’s adventures, this unusual “Bonellian” digression in the world of humoristic comics.
