TIZIANO SCLAVI

Creator of Dylan Dog, is a journalist and a writer. In addition to his intense activity in the field of comic strips, his also the author of over ten novels, two of which have been made into movies. One in particular, "Dellamorte Dellamore", directed by Michele Soavi, was distributed in many countries of the world (with the title The Cemetery Man"; in the united Sates it was appreciated by leading directors such as Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino and Terry Gilliam. Tiziano Sclavi was born in Broni in the province of Pavia, in 1953. He  contributed articles and stories to a myriad of journals and magazines, such as   "Corriere dei Ragazzi", "Amica", "Salve", "Corriere dei Piccoli", "Millelibri", "Il Giornalino". As the writer of comic strips, he created "Altai & Jonson" and "Silas Finn" (with artwork by Giorgio Cavazzano), "Agente Allen" (artwork by Mario Rossi), "Vita da cani" (graphically rendered by Gino Gavioli). . In 1982, he joined the staff of Bonelli, writing two scripts of Ken Parker (on a subject conceived by Giancarlo Berardi), several stories for Zagor (among which the longest one ever published by Sergio Bonelli), Mister No, and Martin Mystère; he also created Kerry the trapper (in 1983, with artwork by the Di Vitto brothers and Marco Bianchini), Dylan Dog (in 1986, the character that crowned Sclavi as one of the major talents of modern comic books) and Roy Mann (1987, artwork by Attilio Micheluzzi). In addition, he composed the scripts for "Horror Cico", a summer album dedicated to Zagor's little Mexican friend. Furthermore, Sclavi has also been a script for television, a songwriter, advertising copywriter, and illustrator. As a novelist he has published, among others, the books "Film", "Tre", "Dellamorte Dellamore", "Nero", "Sogni di sangue", "Apocalisse", "La circolazione del sangue", "Le etichette delle camicie", "Non è successo niente".
