While Carson is in the hands of El Tigre’s coyoteros, Tex is forced to follow “Calavera” in his search for the mysterious gold of Klaatu. Scofield, after having stolen it from Guerrero’s gang, had hidden the treasure map in his dog’s collar and now Aquila della Notte deciphers it. Thanks to an old boatman, Tex gets free of Nick, injuring him with an axe and, with a surprise attack, gets Carson away from the Mexicans! Having arrived in the place indicated on the map, the rangers find Guerrero and catch him, discovering that he wasn’t able to find the gold deposit.
