Having tricked the guards of the Black Tiger’s Malay fortress, the pards get through the traps of an infernal labyrinth and chase away Sumankan, the exiled prince who wanted to transform America into his kingdom, with dynamite. A while later, gathered in a bivouac, Tex tells Kit Willer and Carson of his first encounter with Tiger Jack. The young Navajo, in order to conquer the hand of the beautiful Taniah, brings an enormous herd of horses stolen from the army as a dowry, beating out two other suitors. But the young people’s happiness doesn’t last long: a handful of Utes kidnaps Taniah and her friend Mi-Ni-Teh...
