A military secret service agent dies before the pards’ eyes, killed by a band of desperados near El Paso! The deceased carried news of the robbery of precious plates for the production of dollars. The moulds, taken from the mint by an infiltrator of Major Costigan’s nostalgic confederates, were then diverted, thanks to a southern traitor, to Moncada’s ranch, which now turns out false greenbacks by the thousands! Tex and Carson investigate under cover and end up in the clutches of the ranchero’s hangers-on. At the last moment, however, Joselito’s Apaches, sent by Costigan, save them.
