A girl in tears knocks at Martin Mystère’s door. Her name is Stella, and she’s asking for justice about the death of the only living thing she really loved: her dog, Hispanico, killed in mysterious circumstances. Stella is convinced that her pet have been used as a «guinea pig» for a strange and sinister experiment, but police wouldn’t listen to her. Still unconvinced, the Detective of the Impossible reluctantly accepts to investigate, but he’ll soon be facing an authentic conspiracy of silence about the disappearing of the dog.
