New England. a ghost town, uninhabited for years and with a population of one person only, namely a watchman who keeps guard silently - the nightmare that has been in deep slumber for years absolutely must not awaken from its hibernation. Martin Mystére and Java are on their way towards Cape Rock, unaware that two "Elsewhere" agents are also advancing towards the same place, entrusted with the task of doing whatever it takes to stop the horror before it comes to life.
