Martin Mystère’s sea adventure ends with the encounter between Martin, Java and Patsy, a mutant dolphin, which has been injected with an experimental serum composed of seaweed and has thereby been endowed with the power of speech. So Patsy is able to tell the Detective of the Impossible about the very ancient origins of his own race, which can be traced all the way back to Atlantis. After this story, “Zone X” marks the beginning of another adventure in which the BVZM plays the role of narrator and not of protagonist ….
