The conclusion of Martin’s African Adventure throws light on the ancient people of Dogon, on the origin of their mysterious astronomic knowledge and their links with the Star Sirius. After which, our Detective is asked to write three imaginative stories on the theme of “impossible machines”: in the first, a young student, with the help of the devil, plans the murder of his professor.
