The expedition to discover the cause of the Tunguska explosion has a dramatic outcome: Professor Kulik, who is bitterly opposed to Martin, dies while trying to kill him. The KGB agents following them arrest Martin, but the Detective of the Impossible manages to escape with Java and Nadia, a young scientist gifted with paranormal powers. Thanks to her we become acquainted with the history of the population, now vanished, whose extraordinary technological development lay at the origin of the ancient explosion.
