Ben Stevens is alive! The King of the Eagles, who appeared to be dead following his previous encounter with Zagor, was instead saved by Prometheus, an ingenious scientist who has grafted the wings of an eagle to the body of a young Indian, turning him (against his will, because Protheus is a pacific man) into a ferocious winged-man. The young man, nicknamed Protheus, obeys Ben Stevens and has been incited to kill Robson’s men. He seems invincible: nobody can stop him!
