Zagor must face the menace represented by Black Axe, a mysterious and masked avenger who, just like himself, is armed with a hatchet. The new avenger, his body completely painted black, attacks White people to protect the Natives, and more than a few of the Darkwood Indians would acclaim him as their champion, replacing Zagor. The soldiers, meanwhile, are convinced that the masked man is Zagor himself, and hunt the Spirit-with-the-Hatchet in the forest. But who is Black Axe? What’s his plan? Why is he trying to have his revenge?
