Just before meeting Zagor, Chico was a boatman, delivering packages and letters to the towns along the great river. He carried love letters (which he obviously read!), kegs of whiskey (half full because he took care to empty them) and, above all, Archimedes Zweinstein’s crazy inventions, including very powerful explosives and a fire setting liquid!
