Tex and Carson are entrusted by their friend Mac Parland from the Pinkerton agency to retrieve the huge stash of dollar bills accumulated by the bandit Link Waller in two years of hold-ups on Arizona and New Mexico banks. But the booty of three hundred thousand dollars Waller hid in a derelict mine across the border in Mexico before he mysteriously disappeared is real tempting to loads of people. There are some who say Waller is dead and others who are convinced he’s gone into hiding while awaiting better times, but anyway, one thing’s sure: he hasn’t yet shown up to retrieve the fruits of his work. And now, the claimants who believe they should get the sum include not only the last two remaining accomplices of the decimated Waller band but also a wild group of desperados answering to the orders of ruthless Uriaga. What lies in store for the two Rangers under the blazing Mexican sun is hardly likely to be a pleasurable treasure hunt!
