From his ghostly temple in the Dead Lagoon where he hides with the charming Lohana and the old voodoo priest, Omoro, the Black Tiger controls the sons of the Lord of the Cemeteries in New Orleans, headed by the powerful Juffure. The pards keep an eye on the shipowner, Lavasseur, and on his network of scoundrels but when Tex and Carson believe they are on the right track, a couple of soporific arrows treacherously strike them. The two of them wake up in a swamp, hanging from a tree in front of a sneering Black Tiger, while famished alligators mill around below them!
