Agent O’Bannon loves expeditious methods: in order to find out where young Addison is, he hangs Blackie Logan, one of the kidnappers, from a tree and beats him up in vain! The powerful Senator Stanley, who has to repay a favor to certain Pinkerton agents, convinces his friend, Addison senior, to still trust O’Bannon. The plan is to pay the ransom and trap the kidnappers, but the bandits trick O’Bannon’s men, blowing them up on a railroad bridge. Layla, the sister of a member of the Chase band, frees Herbert Addison, saving him from death.
