In order to render justice to the Navajos, Tex and Carson pursue Captain Curtis’ true murderers. They catch Sammy Wallace, an underhand speculator from Gallup who sold rotten goods at Fort Defiance in conspiracy with Captain Rossiter and Sergeant Conroy. Some time later, the pards are charged with finding a load of gold plundered by the Apaches from the Mexicans and thus avoiding a diplomatic incident with the Sonora. With Cochise’s help and an Indian map, the gold bars are found, but the military column led by the rangers is exterminated by the desperados, accomplices of the wicked Captain Baker.
